Production Chemicals

Oilfield production treating chemicals programs are the result of field services including advice, troubleshooting, well monitoring and tank battery/well testing to determine oil, gas and water quality. Aegis’ field service technicians perform on-site testing or collection of produced fluids and data for laboratory analyses. This work along with field experience is the basis for making recommendations to improve oil, gas and water quality and recommendation to protect the assets used to produce oil and gas.

Field laboratory testing includes:

  • Water analysis
  • Solids analysis
  • Milipore tests
  • Emulsion tendency
  • Foaming tendency
  • Oil analysis
  • Wax analysis
  • Scale analysis
  • Bacterial analysis
  • Failure analysis
  • Other testing/analyses as required

In addition to the improvement in oil, gas, and water quality, the objectives of this field service are to improve the life of the well, surface equipment and pipeline systems through such things as reducing friction and rod wear, treating iron sulfide and eliminating bacteria problems. Additionally, Aegis focuses on optimizing the Operator’s field economics by reducing produced emulsions, inhibiting the formation of scale, hydrates or paraffin, to name just a few.
